Pam graduated cum laude from the University of Colorado Business School in 1991 and began her career as an auditor for Deloitte & Touche in Denver. In 1993, Pam joined Origin CPA Group as a staff accountant and earned her CPA designation in 1994. In February 2002 Pam became a shareholder of Origin CPA Group. Pam practices in all areas of tax, with emphasis in charitable entities (public charities, private foundations, and charitable trusts), charitable planning, small business planning, and international issues.
Pam is a Boulder native and “remembers when”….. She enjoys spending time with her husband, three very active sons, and dog. She enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling, reading and occasionally tickling the ivories. She claims she loves numbers, too.
Over the years, Pam has been involved in many local charities in various functions (board member, advisory committee member, Treasurer, volunteer, etc). Organizations include Humane Society of Boulder Valley, Dairy Center for the Arts, Urgent Action Fund, Global Response/Cultural Survival, and The Community Foundation of Boulder County.
What is the biggest pain point that you solve for clients?
Navigating the complexities of the tax system and advocating on their behalf in tax and financial matters.
What do you love about your clients?
The wide variety of interests and personalities, seeing what people love to do that creates wealth, what motivates clients to redistribute wealth – so many unique stories!
Biggest tip for your clients?
Be proactive! You can’t optimize tax savings or implement strategic financial decisions in the rear-view mirror after the year ends. Accept our offer of planning meetings!
What do you love about this profession?
There is a significant amount of problem solving in this profession and therefore continuous opportunities to learn. I also enjoy making a tangible impact on my clients’ financial well-being while bringing them peace of mind.
Biggest professional accomplishment:
I am not one to seek out public attention, so my biggest accomplishments are numerous personal notes of gratitude from my clients.
What/who inspires you?
Nature is probably my biggest source of inspiration. So many amazing things I’ve been fortunate enough to see on this planet
