What do you enjoy most about your work?

I love translating financial overwhelm into clarity. When clients walk in feeling stressed or uncertain and leave with a clear plan, it’s incredibly rewarding. Most of what I do is behind the scenes, but when clients feel less burdened and more in control, that’s the moment I know the work matters.

What do you enjoy outside of the office?
I’m happiest outdoors, usually on a hiking trail surrounded by trees, sunshine or even a little mountain mist. I’m a Boulder native, so being in nature feels like second nature. A perfect day for me starts without an alarm, includes a morning hike through the pines, coffee on a porch with a good book, and ends with dinner outside with my family, lots of laughter, and maybe a board game. Reading is another favorite pastime, especially true crime, and I can still sit down and play a pretty mean classical piano tune. My family keeps me laughing with their sarcasm, movie misquotes, and constant inside jokes – it’s the kind of humor that keeps life grounded and lighthearted. And while I’m a dog person at heart (with a soft spot for cats too), I’ll admit my favorite companions on the trail are often four-legged. Coffee, Pinot Grigio, and the occasional bacon-and-bleu-cheese indulgence also rank high on my list of life’s joys.

What is your greatest accomplishment?
Professionally, I’ve built a practice where clients feel genuinely cared for and supported – not just during tax season, but all year long. Personally, I’m incredibly proud of raising kind, resilient kids who now teach me just as much as I’ve taught them. They’re the heart of my world and a constant reminder of what matters most.

Greatest extravagance under $50?

Really good hiking socks.
