How long have you worked at Origin CPA Group?
What does your job entail?
My job mostly entails reviewing tax returns or other client projects, client communications, researching issues, responding to client requests, and firm management.
What do you like most about your job?
Every day is different. There’s always something new to learn, which is also one of the biggest challenges of the job. It’s always changing, and there’s always something to do.
What is your motto or personal mantra?
It’s a quote: “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”
In your opinion, what sets OCG apart from other accounting firms?
We really care about our clients and do whatever it takes to meet expectations and make sure their needs are being met. We have a really hands-on team approach, which our clients tell us is very different from the majority of other firms.
What is a hidden talent or fun fact about you?
Played the bassoon from age ten until twenty (this also is the most embarrassing fact about me).
What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
Spend time with my family, try to get outdoors with them as much as possible (camping, hiking, paddleboarding)
Where’s your favorite place in the world?
Door County, Wisconsin. We went there as a family growing up and try to go back every few summers. It reminds me of all our family times when I was little.

The ability to fly or teleport so that I could see my family whenever I want.
What is the one thing you can’t live without?
My family! I’m married and have a two and a half year old son and couldn’t imagine life without them.
